“There are not a lot of people that understand or recognise this history. So it is very important for us that we continue to highlight this. That the Chinese community do actually belong in South Africa and we have been part of South Africa for a long time, even though we have been quiet.”
Thank you to the The Chinese Association of Gauteng (TCA) Chairperson Erwin Pon for calling for greater acceptance of diversity, inclusion, representation and commitment to building a better country for all in light of racism, xenophobia, and anti-Chinese sentiment expressed on social media during Smile 90.4fm’s The Honest Truth with Benito Vergotine last evening.
