INITIATIVES
We are actively involved in organising various community functions to promote cultural and social interactions between community network or organisations.
The Chinese Association and Women’s Federation (TCAWF) organise the Chinese New Year Celebration in First Chinatown on Commissioner Street, Johannesburg. This event is attended by thousands of people. The TCAWF organise a few functions annually which serve as community get-togethers and to raise funds for cancer awareness, food, and donations for the underprivileged, homeless, and more. We are proud to be associated with the following groups:

Depending on current events in the broader South African community, we have fostered very good working relations (amongst others) with the Hate Crimes Working Group, the Jewish Board of Deputies, and the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation.
