TCA Youth Pickle Ball Event – Saturday 4 Oct 2025

On Saturday, 4 October, the TCA Youth hosted its inaugural Pickleball Social at Picklers Park in Roodepoort — marking a vibrant new addition to the association’s calendar. The event, held in collaboration with Hong Ning Old Aged Home, brought together 28 enthusiastic participants for a day of sport, laughter, and community connection.

The TCA extends a special thanks to Picklers Park, a proudly Chinese-owned and operated business, for generously hosting the gathering. The venue’s team not only provided their space but also supplied skilled coaches to demonstrate the rules of pickleball and oversee a friendly mini-tournament. Their support helped turn the day into both a learning experience and a lively social exchange. It was a wonderful day to reconnect with old friends, learn something new and mingle with new faces 🤩

Despite strong gusts of wind that swept through the courts, spirits remained high. Players embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, laughter echoing across the park as newcomers and seasoned players rallied together. It was, by all accounts, a day that celebrated teamwork, curiosity, and community spirit.

In addition to the fun on the courts, attendees showed their generosity by donating snacks to benefit the residents of Hong Ning Old Aged Home. Every contribution — big or small — was received with heartfelt appreciation. 🤝🏻

The TCA Youth expresses their sincere gratitude to everyone who attended and supported the event. Their energy, goodwill, and resilience against the elements ensured the success of what is sure to become an annual tradition. 🫶🏼
