MEMBERS ON TCA COMMITTEE

If we have more people that want to join the committee and want to serve, then the TCA executives committee can decided to actually increase the number of people on the committee without having to go to elections e.g. say there are 14 or even 16 people that want to be on the committee. Then at least allow the TCA executive to first decide that they happy and then still have it approved at the AGM.

Of course, if there are 30 people that suddenly want to be on the committee, then we will go to elections. By putting in this clause, the TCA committee can have the choice and option.

8.1.     General

All members of the community who fall within the requirements of clause 5.1 above, are eligible to serve on the Committee of the TCA which will be composed of a minimum of twelve (12) members elected at the biennial meeting. There may be more than 12 members elected, provided that it is approved firstly by the TCA executive and then further ratified at the AGM;

8.2.    Executive Committee

8.2.1. The full Executive Committee shall be made up of six (6) members drawn from the 12 (or more) members TCA Committee elected at the biennial meeting.   They will be elected at a committee meeting of the TCA Committee seven days after its institution.  The Executive shall be composed of :-

  • Chairman
  • Vice-Chairperson
  • Secretary General
